How to export data more than 10 K in Dynamics 365?

Export data in dynamics 365 is one the most common tasks for users and consultants

in this post , I talked  about export data by excel

Note,
The maximum number of rows by using export to excel functionality is 10 K only 

to avoid this limitation, we have multiple approaches

1-you can use data entity as the below

Go to data management workspace

there are two views for this workspace 

1-The enhanced view like this

if you need to view the standard view just click standard  view button in the top left

2- the standard view like this

if you need to view the enhanced view just click enhanced view button in the top left


you can create new format if you need 

just click configure data source

and click New  

assign source name, description and select the type 

complete setup format and click save 


How to Export data?

click Export 

define the name for this job and select the required entity (for example products)

click add entity then Save 

click Export and wait until job complete

click download file to download file only

or click download package 

click Yes to create a new package

you can see the downloaded package as the below

just open Excel sheet

2- use open in excel not Export 

Go to Released products 

product information management/products /released products

click open in excel   and select the required entity

you can design your excel and refresh, set filters  based on your demand

as you see  in the attached picture, the imported Data more than 10 K

3- Export data from SQL server if you access 

if you have access for SQL server, you can export your data as the below

run export data wizard

click Next

and select source server and database

select the destination server
you can select excel and browse the location to save

you can select table and views or create query

click next and select your table

click Next

click Finish

Results export to your sheet
